“I think about my student loans all the time and it makes me afraid to spend money or invest. I know I should ask for help but I don’t know who to go to and it’s embarrassing to share my debt amount with my friends and colleagues.”

TALKING ABOUT YOUR Finances aren't Always something you think about

but I know how to help!

Until you hit an oh sh*t moment.

There are a few subtypes of oh sh*t moments:

Professionally - You grind everyday. Working short staffed. Get “rewarded” with a pizza for lunch and pats on the back. You cannot see yourself doing this for another 20+ years to get to retirement.

Debt - You make all your monthly payments and don't seem to be able to save enough to move yourself forward.

Emotionally - You breakdown in your car and cry before setting foot in the building because you can’t take it anymore.

Health - You gain 20 lbs from stress eating, or you get diagnosed with something that is life changing.

Personally - Your personality changes from being in survival mode too long. You are more irritable, reactive, and maybe depressed. The relationships you have with others suffer because you aren’t doing well.

Hi, I'm Wilson

My first oh sh*t moment was when my dad passed away from lung cancer.

Later, my mom asked me to help figure out our family finances. I was just finishing my PA program and was NOT good with money.

Suddenly, all the financial decisions I had to make overwhelmed me!

I thought I could solve my problems by juggling multiple jobs and increasing my income.

Turns out that was just a fast track to burnout and job dissatisfaction . . . and wasn't going to work.

But, the goal that I am most proud of is retiring my mom and paying off her home. The numbers are great too, but that was the first goal that I started off this journey with.

The other goal I am most proud of is finding happiness and fulfillment in my work again and helping other PAs and NPs feel the same.

My wife and I have hit several financial milestones:

Unknowingly, I was my first client.

  • Owning 7-figures of stocks and real estate that produce an alternative source of income for us outside our clinical income.

  • Work jobs we love that provide flexibility and competitive pay.

  • Semi-retired in our 30's so we can have more quality time with loved ones.

I started learning more about money with Certified Financial Planners (CFPs), CPAs, Real Estate Investors, and Student Loan Experts.

I also found that your career choices are strongly correlated to your finances so I invested in a career consultant as well.
